Biography of Linda Kasten

Linda Kasten - 1st Grade Teacher

I was born in Milwaukee at the end of March a long time ago. One of my first memories is of breaking my leg when I was two. My schooling began in the public school system and transferred to north Trinity when I was in second grade. Wisconsin Lutheran High School was my next school and then I attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm.

My first Call was to Peshtigo, Wisconsin where I taught K -3. That was a fun time. We lived in the Upper Peninsula and did a lot of fishing, hiking and biking. We then moved back to the Milwaukee area so Alan could pursue his Masters' Degree in Engineering. My next Call was here to St. Paul's where I taught 8th grade and a few other subjects. I received an emergency Call to Crown of Life in Hubertus, where I taught grades 1-4. I took 13 years off to be with my children and began teaching back at St. Paul's 10 years ago. I taught in our Learning Center for 7 years and am now teaching 1st grade and coordinate the lower grade technology.
