Senior Social Activities

The Organization of WELS Seniors (OWLS) meets on a monthly basis to provide our members 55 and older an opportunity for food, fun, and to hear a mission speaker or other presentation.

Although you don’t have to be a Senior to join these friendship service groups, there are many seniors involved in:

Hospital to Home Ministries

Lay members make visits to members in the hospital, those recovery in their homes after hospitalization and to members who are homebound or in a care facility.

Group Home Visitation Ministry

Visitations and devotions are given weekly by lay leaders at residence care units or area nursing homes.

Quilting Fellowship

Our group of Christian quilters have sewn blankets for a variety of people, from unwed moms to military personnel serving overseas.

Ladies Afternoon Fellowship

This group of experienced people have a heart for hospitality and provide meals on our campus for funerals.

Don’t let the name fool you! This crafty group gets together monthly work on projects and hosts a craft fair every year to raise funds for Missions. It’s a social, creative group with a good purpose.

Walking Club

Many seniors also take advantage of our Walking Club that meets twice per week.

For those seniors whom are homebound, devotional visits are available upon request.
