Facilities Expansion Moves Forward St. Paul’s approved expansion plans at the Wednesday, May 6th voters meeting. Watch the fly-by view on the right side of this page! The expansion will feature an attractive main entrance to our school. An office to the right of the entrance attaches to the before-and-after-school-care classroom. The athletic director’s office is to the left of the entrance. Both will have a buzzer system to unlock the doors into the building. This will provide better security during the school day and for after-school athletic programs. You will enter into a large lobby/commons, approximately the size of our Grace Room. A high ceiling and natural light will make this an inviting area. On the south side of the commons will be a cozy lounge. A gas fireplace in the lounge is shown as an option if someone chooses to donate this as a special gift. The two new classrooms both have private bathrooms. Plumbing will be made available for future installation of bathrooms in the two classrooms on the east end of the existing school. The two new classrooms will be approximately the same size as our existing classrooms in the east wing of the school. The addition of these two classrooms will allow us to increase the number of our children in our early childhood education programs (School of Early Learning and PreK), a ministry area that has shown remarkable growth over the last several years. The gym will provide seating for about 300 individuals. The basketball court will be 80’ x 50’. Two practice courts for basketball and volleyball will be available when the bleachers are closed. We want to thank those who have already responded to the Plant a Seed—Reap a Harvest program. By the end of April, 2009 we have already $496,000 in cash and in-kind gifts! Galatians 6:9: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
